Sound Governance of the Youth Trust is an essential dimension of ensuring operational and financial integrity. In order to support the Youth Trust through a period of considerable change initiated by the national expansion project, we recently conducted a skills audit to ensure that the composition of the trustee Board is commensurate with our ambitious aims, vision and strategy.

Lucy was a governor at Aysgarth School for 10 years and prior to this was a solicitor practising commercial property law. She lives in North Yorkshire and is married with 4 children and 3 stepchildren.
Laura is an experienced financial services industry COO who over the past 18 years has delivered projects and ongoing performance improvements in the finance sector. With her combination of finance, operations, trading and legal awareness, Laura is confident leading and influencing others in a changing environment.
Andrew is a freelance leadership consultant with specific expertise in the 1-1 coaching of aspiring and in situ high-level leaders. He is also an established academic and holds professorial positions at Ridley Hall Cambridge and St Padarn’s Institute Cardiff.
Lara is the Chief Executive Officer of PR First London which is an agency for the home and lifestyle industries. Customers include Sofa.com, Pooky.com and Carpetright. Lara is also Non-Executive Director of Thomas Fawcett and Sons. A Trustee since 2011, Lara works particularly closely with the fundraising department.
